In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

This policy applies to the Gazolina app on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
Data collected
Location
Gazolina may access your location (if you allow it, on both iOS and Android) to display nearby petrol stations and improve the relevance of results.
Purchases and subscriptions (Gazolina+)
Gazolina+ purchases and subscriptions (subscription or lifetime purchase) are managed by Apple (App Store) on iOS and Google (Google Play) on Android. Gazolina neither receives nor stores your payment information.
Push notifications
If you enable notifications, a technical identifier for your device is used to deliver them: Apple (APNs) on iOS, Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) on Android.
App attestation
To protect our services against abuse, the app proves its authenticity to our servers through App Attest (Apple) on iOS and Play Integrity (Google) on Android. No personal data is used for this purpose.
Pseudonymised usage events — Meta (Facebook)
On iOS only: if you accept tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) request, Gazolina sends Meta pseudonymised usage events — associated with your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), without your name, email address or location — to measure advertising campaign performance. No events are sent without your explicit consent.
The actions measured are:
- Searching for a station
- Detecting location
- Completing onboarding (first launch)
- Viewing station details
- Initiating a Gazolina+ purchase
- Starting a free trial
- Subscribing to Gazolina+
- Triggering a rating request
Use of data
Location is used only to display stations near you, calculate distances and improve the search experience around your area.
Meta events are used exclusively to measure the effectiveness of app acquisition campaigns (Mobile Measurement) and improve future advertising campaigns. They are not used to target you personally within the app.
Storage and sharing
Gazolina does not sell your data.
Gazolina does not share your location with third parties.
On Android, the map and place search rely on Google Maps and the Google Places API, and purchases, notifications and attestation on Google Play, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Play Integrity. These services are subject to the Google Privacy Policy. On iOS, purchases, notifications and attestation are handled by Apple. Gazolina uses no third-party analytics or crash reporting service on Android and sends no advertising events to Meta from Android.
If you have given your ATT consent, pseudonymised event data (associated with the IDFA) is sent to Meta Platforms, Inc. as part of mobile advertising measurement (Mobile Measurement Partners). This data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.
If you have declined tracking (ATT), no data is sent to Meta.
Advertising measurement — Meta (Facebook)
On iOS only, Gazolina uses the Facebook iOS SDK (FacebookCore v17+) to measure app events (App Events).
- Meta App ID: 1612566453185578
- Data sent: Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and functional events listed above, only after ATT consent
- No automatic collection: FacebookAutoLogAppEventsEnabled is disabled — the SDK collects nothing before your explicit agreement
- Purpose: advertising campaign attribution and acquisition campaign optimisation

External services and links
Gazolina may open navigation apps (Maps on iOS, Google Maps, Waze) when you start directions. On iOS, car mode uses Apple CarPlay; on Android, Android Auto (Google). These services are subject to their own privacy policies.
Fuel prices come from official public data in each country covered: France (data.economie.gouv.fr), Spain (minetur.gob.es), Italy (mimit.gov.it) and Portugal (dgeg.gov.pt); for Belgium, from a specialised data provider. Station services come from OpenStreetMap. No personal data is sent to these sources.
Your choices
Location
You can enable or disable location access at any time in:
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Gazolina
Android: Settings → Apps → Gazolina → Permissions → Location
Advertising tracking (ATT, iOS only)
You can withdraw your consent to tracking at any time in:
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Gazolina
Withdrawing consent immediately stops all data being sent to Meta.
Data controller
The data controller is Florent Codet Drolez, who can be reached at gazolina.support@icloud.com.
Legal bases
- Consent: access to your location and the usage events sent to Meta (iOS, after your ATT consent). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Performance of a contract: managing your Gazolina+ purchases and subscriptions, handled by Apple and Google, and sending the push notifications you have enabled.
- Legitimate interest: protecting our services against abuse (app attestation) and, for the website, its security and cookieless audience measurement.
Retention periods
- Data the app saves on your device (favourites, filters, preferences) stays there and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
- If you enable notifications, our servers keep your device’s technical identifier, the selected fuel, the language, the stations you follow and a minimal history of the alerts sent, for as long as needed to send the notifications. This data is deleted when the notification service (Apple or Google) reports that the identifier is no longer valid, for example after the app is uninstalled, and is replaced on reinstallation. No fixed period is set beyond that.
- Your location is used for searching and is not kept by Gazolina.
- Data processed by Apple, Google, Meta and Cloudflare is kept according to their own policies.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of the providers named in this policy (Cloudflare, Apple, Google, Meta) may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
The gazolina.app website
The gazolina.app website sets no cookies. Cloudflare, its host, processes visitors’ IP addresses transiently to deliver the site, keep it secure and carry out cookieless audience measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Learn more: Cloudflare privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
To exercise these rights, write to gazolina.support@icloud.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country of residence, or with the CNIL (France, www.cnil.fr).
